We're looking for Domiciliary Care Manager to help start up and run a new and exciting company specialising in homecare. Ideally you will have NVQ 4 in health and social care and have previous care experience.
Main purpose of job:
· To assess the Home Care needs of people living in their own homes and to work closely with colleagues to provide a responsive and integrated Home Care Service.
· To directly line-manage Home Care Assistants and office staff.
· To be fully conversant with all monitoring and IT systems
· Lead on productivity within the sector.
Responsibilities, duties and tasks:
· To undertake service assessments and Risk Management for service users referred for Home Care.
· To organise work rotas for Home Care Assistants.
· To ensure deadline is met for payroll.
· To manage the allocation of work.
· To ensure that Home Care quality standards and performance measures are adhered to, including client-monitoring protocols.
· To develop relationships with healthcare service providers in the area and work closely with healthcare personnel to raise the standards of care provided to people using services.
· To assist with the Recruitment and Selection of Home Care Assistants and Senior Home Care Assistants.
· To investigate all complaints from Service Users and their representatives and purchasers and to report all issues of a serious nature to the Director.
· To monitor, record and authorise annual leave and to monitor sickness absence for Senior Home Care Assistants and Home Care Assistants.
· To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
