Your interview will be held within your local Prestige Nursing + Care branch. Occasionally we will hold Recruitment Days which will be off site within local hotels of Job Centrers. If we arrange an interview for you we will send you a map and directions for your convenience.What happens if I cannot make my Interview date or time?
If you need to cancel your interview or reschedule then you can do this through the Recruitment Hotline. We will make the necessary arrangements with the branch and send you confirmation of a rescheduled appointment.How long will my Interview take?
Interviews can take up to 1.5 hours, this is because we want to use this time to find out as much as we can about your previous experiences and your preferences for the future. We will also go through any training you have and any training requirements for the future. This is an excellent chance to meet the team you could potentially be working with. You will need to bring your completed application pack with you, including your application form, CRB form and payment and supporting documents. We will need to see your eligibility to work within the UK (British Passport, Foreign Passport and accompanying Visa, British Birth certificate, or British adoption certificate). You will also need to provide 1 additional form of personal ID (driving licence, marriage certificate, birth certificate) along with proof of National Insurance number, and 2 proofs of address that are dated within the last 3 months. Once you have completed your interview and given us all of your supporting documents, your paperwork is sent to an advisor at head office. Here we will send off for your CRB, obtain references from past employers and liaise with the branch about organising your training. We have a variety of mandatory training for you to complete, some of it is classroom, some workbooks and some E-learning which can be done from the comfort of your own home.What training will I need to do?
You will have to complete all mandatory training, you will find details below :
Moving and Handling - this is a classroom practical training course that will be hosted by one of our experienced trainers.
Emergency Procedures - this is a classroom practical training course that will be hosted by one of our experienced trainers.
Health and Safety - this is a workbook exercise that will be completed in branch.
Infection Control - this is an E-learning module that can be accessed through the member portal on our website.
Food Hygiene - this is an E-learning module that can be accessed through the member portal on our website.
Child Protection - this is an E-learning module that can be accessed through the member portal on our website.
Safeguarding Adults - this is a DVD and workshop that will be completed in branch.
Medication Awareness - this is an E-learning module that can be accessed through the member portal on our website.
Please Note: If you have completed this training elsewhere and have certificates that are dated within 12 months then please bring these to your interview.
Once you are ready to start work with us your local branch will contact you and invite you in for an induction. Your employment with us will be based upon the results of your general conduct, your reference results, your CRB and your capability to complete all required training. Once Head Office are satisfied that we hold enough information to make a recruitment decision we will inform you in writing. You will receive regular calls from your advisor at Head Office and the branch staff during the recruitment process - it is important that you let us know of any changes in your circumstances that may stop you being able to start work with us.How long does the recruitment process normally take?
It's difficult to give an exact time but generally we say 4 weeks. You have to give time to complete all of your mandatory training and for the CRB to run the necessary checks. We operate a very efficient system that ensures we are obtaining references and processing your employment and CRB application very shortly after interview. You will need to make yourself available to attend training sessions at the branch and allow time to complete your E-learning from home or at branch.What if I don't have internet access at home? How will I do my E-learning?
If you cannot get access to the internet at home then you can speak to our branch staff who will invite you to come down to the branch and use one of our terminals to complete your training.Do I have to pay a fee to join Prestige?
No, joining Prestige is FREE; we also supply all your training free of charge. You will need to pay for your Criminal Records check (CRB) and your uniform.How much is a CRB?
The cost of the CRB is £44. You can pay this by Credit or Debit card. Postal orders are also accepted made payable to Prestige Nursing + Care. Please note: We cannot accept payment by cheque.At what stage am I expected to pay for the CRB?
We ask that you bring payment to your Interview so that if you are successful we can start processing your paperwork straight away.I have convictions; will this stop me from working?
If your CRB check were likely to highlight any convictions or cautions, we would ask that you declare this information at Interview. We would then ask you to complete a short statement of the account so that we can use this on receipt of your CRB. A decision will then be made as to whether we can offer you work.How much will I get paid?
You will find our rates of pay very competitive. Pay will depend on experience and type of work. You will be able to discuss pay rates during your branch interview.Are your shifts flexible, I have children?
Prestige Nursing + Care aim to be able to accommodate your employment needs. You will have to make us aware of your needs during your face-to-face interview.Will I need to wear a uniform?
Prestige prides itself on its professionalism so you will be required to purchase a uniform to wear on all shifts attended. Your local branch can provide more details for you and those instances where a uniform is specifically ruled out.
